A Narrow Road
The History & Passion Behind Set Apart Girl

by Leslie Ludy

When I was eighteen, I read a book* that became a defining influence upon my life. It was a biography written by Elisabeth Elliot about the life of Amy Carmichael who was missionary to India in the early 1900s. As a young woman in Ireland, Amy felt God calling her to give up the pursuits and pleasures of the world and become fully consecrated to Him.

That’s when I gasped. The view was incredible. How had I missed it?A friend and I had climbed a popular mountain but being slightly out of shape, my focus was on footfalls and not dying from a lack of oxygen.

His Ways are Higher
Walking in Godly Wisdom Over Worldly Wisdom

Milk, eggs, chicken … I sat at our dining room table one morning in December, working on a shopping list. As I put the first few items down my heart was restless, but I tried to push away the uneasy feeling that arose inside of me.

Diving Deep
Exploring God's Word Through Saturation Bible Study

The water was crystal clear and perfectly cool against the blazing Caribbean sun. I had gone down to Barbados with a group to help build a church, and midweek found an afternoon to cool off in the water.A few of us hopped on a boat and went out to a coral reef. We splashed into the water, fixed our snorkel gear, and put our faces in the ocean. The colors were vibrant.
