Founder & Director
Leslie Ludy is a bestselling author and speaker with a passion for helping women become set apart for Christ. Leslie’s bestselling books for young women include Authentic Beauty, Set-Apart Femininity, Sacred Singleness, Answering the Guy Questions, The Lost Art of True Beauty, Set Apart Motherhood, and The Set-Apart Woman.
Leslie and Eric are passionate about adoption and have adopted four of their six exuberant children. Annie has been with Eric and Leslie Ludy in ministry for over ten years. In 2005 she moved from Idaho to Colorado to help champion the message and ministry that had so deeply impacted her own life, and through the years she has served in a wide range of roles with both Set Apart Girl® and Ellerslie Discipleship Training in Windsor, CO.
The first to say what an unlikely choice she is for her job, she’s quicker still to boast in God’s grace that equips her as our Creative Director. Her passion for beauty, excellence, and honoring Christ through design and photography has made a significant impact upon hundreds of thousands of young women around the world.
She has traveled internationally as a photographer, advocating for orphaned and vulnerable children and sharing their stories with a passion to grip the church with God’s heart for the least and ignite faith in His power to rescue and heal. She’s girly, but there’s no doubt that this girly-girl’s got a bit of grit too. She lived for 29 months in Haiti dealing with bats, rats, floods, riots, power outages, and one very bizarre virus. And she kept designing for us while she was at it!
She can't handle roller coasters, but once, when the occasion called for it, she climbed a telephone pole and jumped off to catch a trapeze bar (it's a long story). She won't do that again...or the Mickey Mouse roller coaster.
Annie is passionate about encouraging young woman to put their whole trust upon the enabling life of Christ. Delivered years ago from a severe struggle with fear and anxiety, she loves to share her testimony (and some pretty hilarious stories along with it) of how God took someone so crippled by fear and took her to Haiti, building her strong through His marvelous, enabling grace and the unfailing promises in His Word.
Annie continually leans upon God's promise in 1 Thessalonians HNV 5:24, "Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it."
Mandy has been serving in the ministry of Set Apart Girl® in various roles since January of 2011 and has become our invaluable Administrative Director. We affectionately call her "our everything girl” because no matter what she takes on, she gets it done and with joy and excellence. Her motivation for all she tackles, both large and small, comes from a desire to see the life-altering truth and beauty of the Gospel to take deeper root in the lives that Set Apart Girl® reaches.
Before moving to Colorado in 2010 to be discipled through Ellerslie Training, Mandy was an avid reader of Eric and Leslie Ludy’s books, and eagerly consumed all things Set Apart Girl®. Now, Mandy shares in strategizing new and creative ways to reach and provide resources for women desiring to return to Christ-centered femininity. Because the messages shared by Set Apart Girl® had such an impact in her own life and walk with Christ, she has a big heart for the women that our ministry reaches!
One of Mandy's favorite quotes comes from Elisabeth Elliot: “Let me be a woman, holy through and through, asking for nothing but what God wants to give me, receiving with both hands and with all my heart whatever that is.” This articulates the pure and faith-filled life of surrender that she desires and seeks to live out as a woman of God.
Mandy enjoys cultivating beauty in her surroundings, is a lover of family-life and the Pennsylvania countryside where she was raised, and sometimes dreams of establishing a “winter-bird office” for Set Apart Girl® - this girl loves the sand, sun, water, and waves!
One of her recent favorite Scriptures is Romans 12:11-12, “[Be]. . . fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.”
As Set Apart Girl® began to take our first steps towards having a print magazine, we asked God to send us someone who had specific experience in print publication. Well, in answer to those prayers, the Lord walked Jess White into our lives! She had been working for a marketing firm where her specific role was preparing files for print. Little did Jess know during her four years with the firm that while she was faithfully making industrial robotics catalogs, working with print, and learning technical design skills in the commercial realm, the Lord was training her to join the Set Apart Girl® team as a go-to design assistant. We have no doubt that this lovely lady was heaven-sent just as we had need of her and no matter how many projects we throw her way, she joyfully blitzes through them faster than you can say "Brilliant!"
When Jess isn't designing (and sometimes when she is), she's been known to suddenly break out into a dance (the elegant, waltzing kind). We were a bit surprised at first, but now that we know her, we get it. And we love it. She is so filled up with the joy of the Lord and the wonder of all He is that sometimes it has to escape through a leap or a twirl. You go for it, Jess!
We're discovering all of this lady's hidden talents, but among them are some serious roller blading skills, beautiful photography, and delicious homemade coconut ice cream!
Two of Jess's favorite Scriptures are John 16:33 and Psalm 62:5-6.
Heather, a Colorado native, spent most of her childhood years in the beautifully rugged and oft-cold country of Mongolia with her parents and 7 siblings. She was introduced to Eric and Leslie’s books at age 15, and has since then been joyfully sharing the message of the set apart life with other young women. Though Heather has long been passionate about sharing truth with others, she has been delighted to see the Lord grow that passion by giving her the opportunity to communicate through writing for Set Apart Girl®.
Just two months after marrying her husband, Judah, in 2011 (a fellow Mongolia missionary kid), they attended Ellerslie Leadership Training together for their first year of marriage… And have been around ever since!
Heather loves visiting cute coffee shops, reading books with her husband Judah, and spending most daylight hours with her two adorable children, Jude and Jenesis. She enjoys very girly things like styling hair, painting nails, and fun accessories. She loves playing the piano, especially enjoying the opportunities she has to help lead worship at Ellerslie. Her favorite creative outlet is jewelry making, but really enjoys almost any crafty project.
One of Heather’s favorite verses is Isaiah 26:3-4 ESV, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”
Contributor & Editor
Jasmin hails from the beautiful country of Canada, but was first introduced to the writings of Eric & Leslie Ludy by her roommate Annie (our very own Creative Director) while at Bible school in a castle settled in the English countryside. It was in that same castle that she met her husband Mike, and they have been married for over eight years. The Howells have been faithful champions for the Ludy's ministry and for the message of living set apart for Jesus, and even though they live an eighteen hour drive from Windsor, Colorado, they have been known for their spontaneous road trips to visit and encourage those they love in ministry. Let’s just say that they always keep their passports up to date and we are deeply thankful for God bringing these two people into our lives!
As far as interesting facts go, it is a little known one that Jasmin shares her birthday with the Queen of England! She also grew up as a missionary-kid in Pakistan, attended boarding school, and was once given a water buffalo for her birthday. She loves to sing and worship, eat olives and peanut-butter (though not together), always has a stack of books by the bed, and prefers to go barefoot whenever possible (which is hard in a country where winter lasts half the year, but she perseveres).
As a former college English teacher, Jasmin has a passion for how the written word can bring light to the eyes and enliven the imagination, bring life-giving encouragement, and most importantly, share practically about how to walk out a life of victory in Christ through both trials and joys. It is her desire that her work as a contributing writer and editor for Set Apart Girl® will do just those things, and spur many women on to follow hard after Christ.
Her favorite verse is Matthew 11:6 ESV, "Blessed is the one who is not offended by me". As she serves and interacts with those around her, Jasmin prays that this would be true of her life, and asks for boldness to share the gospel of Jesus whether by word or deed wherever she goes.
